Real talk: It’s a lot harder blogging in the summer. My attention span is a lot shorter (I blame the heat) and I’d much rather be outside enjoying the weather than holed up inside perusing music blogs. So apologies, readers, for my less-than-consistent blogging as of late.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, onto the music! The song I’ve been jamming out to on repeat recently is Blood Diamonds’ “Ritual,” which melds a tropical, poppy beat with androgynous vocals. It is the B-side of “Phone Sex,” Blood Diamonds’ collaboration with Grimes. Blood Diamonds is the musical alias of Mike Tucker, an electronic producer from Vancouver. The single officially drops tomorrow on 4AD.
